Shipping Policy and Terms of Delivery
Here at Ernest's Orleans Restaurant superb quality, freshness, and commitment to serving the finest is what we have been dedicated to for over 60 years. It is Chef Ernest's goal to continue this tradition, so he personally oversees the handling of all orders to ensure you enjoy the highest quality of Ernest's Orleans products in your home.
For all perishable items, we ship only using FedEx Priority Overnight which is designed for urgent delivery of packages to ensure maximum freshness. For this reason we can only ship to the 48 contiguous states (overnight delivery is not available to Hawaii and Alaska).
To keep your seafood cold and fresh we use specially constructed, refrigerated shipping containers.
If your order is received prior to 5:00 pm CST on any business day it will be shipped out the following business day. Orders received after 5:00 pm CST will be shipped a day later. If for some reason your item is not available, we will contact you immediately.
All orders are sent in specially-constructed shipping containers with gel packs or dry ice to keep your seafood cold. If required, additional insulation is used inside for extra protection (for example during extreme hot summer months).
Due to ever changing weather and supply conditions out of our control, occasionally an item will become unavailable after an order is placed. Should that happen we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss substituting another item of equal or greater value, or changing the delivery timing.
Terms of Delivery
Seafood products are very perishable. All our shipments are packed with ample refrigerant to maintain the product in average weather conditions for the shipping period (estimated conservatively to allow for some extra time)
It is recommended that someone be available to receive shipments from us upon delivery, or shortly thereafter. If you are sending a gift to someone, please notify them when to expect the delivery
If no one is available, and the package is left unattended for an extended period (especially in hot climates), we cannot guarantee that the seafood will remain in good condition.
The shipping containers we use are not suitable for storing your product after receipt, so we recommend that you unpack the shipper contents as soon as possible and store the seafood in the refrigerator and/or freezer, as appropriate, to maintain optimum freshness.
Finally, please check the shipping address carefully for errors. We cannot guarantee shipments that FedEx is unable to deliver.
Refund Policy
If you are not completely satisfied with your order - for any reason - we ask that you contact us within 24 hours of delivery. When appropriate, we will replace your purchase or refund your money, whichever you prefer.
